What would the name be for software that turns all your devices (or all the ones you configure) into simple front-ends that let easily switch between all available devices?
e.g. I hook up my PC, my laptop and my wife's laptop as 'source' devices, then I can access each source device on any of the other devices (the pc/laptops, tablets, phones, etc).
I know that I can achieve this functionality with existing remote desktop software of various kinds, but I want the user experience to be simple and straightforward/aesthetically pleasing enough to be used by the whole family, not just me.
Is there a name for this? Anyone got any ideas on where I should start? can't think of a way to search for it that doesnt pull in a lot of WFH/tech support etc red herrings
