So maybe a better example is how there are two networks right now, Newsmax and OAN that are parroting Trump in trying to claim that the election was wrought with fraud, contrary to all of the evidence.

He’s allowed to blast it on Twitter. They’re allowed to repeat his lies. Freedom of speech. And if millions of Russians want to create fake Twitter accounts to make up baseless allegations against whoever they want, that’s freedom for speech as well.

I don’t know how you handle it. It’s obvious that millions of people get their information from Twitter or far left or far right media. The only way you can prevent fake news like that from spreading is educating your population beforehand so they know how to verify data or spot false info. It’s just too easy right now to spread massive amounts of info to millions of people instantly, and often it’s the first impression that sticks. Guys like Creedo get hooked in and now believe OAN and Brietbart are giving them accurate info...and when other people that are related to Creedo listen to Alex Jones say that sandy hook was staged, they can believe him too. Just sad how often this happens. These lies have real consequences.

So what is it? Educate your youth or outlaw misinformation? Neither will happen anytime soon.
