Various jobs throughout history have been made obsolete and have been replaced with different jobs, this will continue.
So yes? if truck driving becomes a profession eliminated then truck drivers will have to retrain for new jobs/less and less people will enter this profession as there are less available jobs and do something else.
Automation has been a thing for many many years and unemployment hasn't spiked beyond control.
I'm still curious to see someone come up with a universal basic income for a country like Canada or the US that actually makes financial sense.
