We thank all participants in the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 50/50 raffle on Friday, Aug. 7 for their patience as we work to resolve the issues experienced due to overwhelming demand.
This week has been spent auditing and finalizing the refund and confirmation lists, to ensure we can move forward with an accurate final list of participants in the draw. These steps, although time consuming, were vital to ensure the integrity of the raffle.
We have been communicating with AGLC and they are supportive of this process.
After refunds are processed and dollars are deposited back into the accounts of those customers who asked for refunds, we will be in a position to draw the winning number, which we expect will happen early to mid-next week.
We again thank everyone for their patience as we work through this process.
We are pleased to report that after our due diligence on refunds the total raffle will be around $14.3 million dollars, with the lucky winner taking home half as the prize.
The dollars raised from our 50/50 will go where they are most needed in the community.
