you know hollow, when people criticize the US' founding values they say stuff 'but they owned slaves!!'.
yeah, so they were hypocrites. thats not an attack on the value, that means that even they didnt live up to them. People should take that as a challenge to live up to the value, not a stain on the value itself.
but that is apparently too much to ask of people.
