sure, but look how strongly that holds even when a police is murdering someone, slowly, in cold blood, in public, on video, with witnesses.
it's not an edge case. any system where citizens can't even intervene in this situation demands reconsideration. of course, I'm sure that what the activists in the streets want would be even worse, but that doesn't let the police off the hook.
