i don't think Canada's health care system is going to be overwhelmed this wave we're ahead of it with early action on social distancing. Ontario will probably be ok when it comes to PPE and as far as respirators goes its the kind of thing that gets used to capacity even pre-covid. if they had 10x the respirators they would still be used at capacity giving every patient the best possible chance even if unlikely they pull through and its very expensive to have people on a respirator because it requires ICU care. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and if you're spending all your money stockpiling respirators and on ICU beds you're making the wrong decisions
