What isn't mentioned enough when discussing US health care is the absolute insane amount they pay for health insurance. In a single payer system, taxes for everyone would go up, but I have to believe it would net out to still being less than what they pay in taxes + health insurance premiums (and co-pays/out-of-pocket expenses).
Also, Lando, Ast is Canadian as well -- just FYI. lol
