Americans could easily find a health care system by slightly increasing taxes on companies like Amazon. Problem is your economy is intertwined with public trading and any tax increase causes panic and god forbid, the stock market drops. It’s also a political system that has enough deep pocket loopholes to ensure that companies like Amazon can buy senators and governors to make sure they don’t increase their tax rates. The whole machine is self feeding and only serves to increase the wealth of the wealthy. The gap between disgustingly rich and devastatingly poor keeps growing and growing. This is why Bernie made it so far, but fear of communism or socialism (deep seeded fear from the Cold War no doubt) keeps you from producing a president that wants to change that.
