I was def. shocked at how easy it was for them to drop him after being involved in Canadian hockey for over 40 years... He said immigrants should drop a buck or two on poppies for remembrance day, which I get why it's an ignorant thing to say, but HIS generation that is totally normal to say. Somewhere along the way we totally forgot that the older generations grew up WAY different compared to us... we've changed for the better, definitely less acceptable to be a bigot or racist. Even so, it's just how they used to talk back then and not everyone changes that easily. Shouldn't have fired him so quick, just have him apologize or something ffs.
