Actually the Paris Accord is doing well, despite Trump supposedly pulling the US out. Making it nonbinding is the only realistic way to get anyone to agree to it, no leader is going to put their country on a financial hook if they don't make the target. But just by agreeing and seeing how countries all around the world are responding to it, which they are, renewable energy growth is far exceeding what the experts thought was possible. Is it enough? Probably not at this point, but it is a good start and the effectiveness of the effort will only grow as new technologies become more mature and societal resistance gradually weakens and adoption of renewables becomes the norm. Still going to be a wild ride, but perhaps more easily survivable.
