ok, so theres this scandal in Canada where our Attorney General was demoted in a cabinet shuffle, and then it came out that they were being pressured by our Prime Minister to let a corporation off the hook in an ongoing prosecution.
It's been lots of he-said, she-said since then. The PM initially denied everything, then later softened that to saying it was a misunderstanding, he fired someone, our top bureaucrat quit, but it isn't going away.

so.... this call...this woman is a bad ass. They obviously miscalculated in fucking with her. How embarassing for Trudeau who has acted like nothing happened. The call makes it clear that this is a person who is _pretty fucking direct_ about whats happening.
Granted, she knows the call is being recorded and the other guy doesn't, so it's possible shes playing it up here to cover her own ass - completely plausible. I think if that was really the case though, there'd be a tell in the other parties reaction. He doesn't seem surprised to hear her position though.
Anyway, this call is 10/10 political drama even if you don't know anything about it. worth a listen, at least the first few minutes.
