On the other topic of why the 2nd is there to ensure our right to overthrow our gov. in the event it becomes tyrannical. Often the argument is made, and has been made in this very thread in fact, that;
"Ohh, do you really think the government is going to just start shooting people once they're sufficiently disarmed?"
Well, yea actually! Because it is happening right now... in France! This is what NOT having a 2nd amendment looks like in the modern age.
