I never even eluded that government was going to need protecting against. It's unlikely, but history begs to differ... but that's another topic... What I said was that they're not very good at doing the protecting FOR us! Personal protection is just that, personal! It is your responsibility to not let others make a victim of you. Being armed increases your survivability massively! Why leave your life to a 911 call, and at least a few minutes drive away? You're already dead! The guns aren't going away likey ever no matter what laws are on the books so why not make sure you have the ability to survive a psychopath?
