Maybe the temp is set too high for you?
When I first got a vape I put it at max temp, 430F, because I wanted it to produce the big clouds I am used to. It was hot and a little harsh.
Now I start around 380F and the smoke is warm and smooth (for me anyways). Then I keep adding a few degrees of temp as the herb gets used up, ending up around 400F.
I don't blow out a lot of smoke with each puff, but I do get the effects of a gager. (Gager is slang around here for a big fat joint)
