Having the salary cap in place and the shorter list of protected players makes it less surprising they are doing well. Under the old system that all the other teams went through in expansion history they would be getting annihilated regularly.
That said, its still a great story! I have no interest in Washington or Tampa and now that the Jets are out I hope Vegas can win it.
