I mostly agree with Sniper's points, if it's TRULY optional for a teacher to concealed carry, with proper training/restrictions, sure, maybe it helps. But I don't think it's quite as big a deterrent as you do.
When this happened ~300ft behind my house, dude didn't seem too concerned about all the other people with guns. *shrug*
