I too was a poly drug user. I was fine with a weekend coke binge and not touch the stuff again for months or years. Did lots of mushrooms, LSD, speed etc. always in a party atmosphere. My genetics though...as soon as I had a good dose of opiates I was fucked... hooked for life :(.
My dad and sister and many other family members have a history of addiction and alcoholism, so I’m sure there’s a genetic disposition. It’s a battle!
