Pnue I'm playing from Vietnam aka I dont get to watch any games except the Stanley Cup, and even then I have to go to a really dodgy foreigner bar, or download a torrent, and I've still been playing since 2011. It's probably the best of the Fantasy sports. It has the right amount of macro and micromanagement (NFL not enough micro, Baseball too much micro).
I've done pretty well too. Just follow the math and the reading up, without knowing shit about the league in reality.
