I sorta get where you're coming from. However, the experts (as you call them), have already botched very significant details. The timeline being perhaps the most blatant. Even the hotel was coming out to say that "This isn't what we told them".
Is it nearly as extreme as a second shooter? Of course not. Are these "experts" fallible? Quite obviously so, to an almost creepy conspiratorial level. Paddock's home getting broke into is another wtf event.
