us healthcare is fucked up because of govt involvement. this is a fact. the types of easy (but misleading points like) 'we spend more and have worse outcomes' are just bad analysis and missing the details by aggregating. it sounds good, but its very wrong. monopoly privelege to orgs like ACA and preferential tax treatment which diverted the market to third party payer solutions are primarily responsible for the fact that US healthcare is a shambles. single party payer also has all kinds of probems that proponents like to avoid discussing.
did my best to avoid posting in this thread but when war said 'the reason is because us healthcare is based on profit' - that is such a laughably moronic and ignorant statement that I could resist no longer. Won't be offering a full rebuttal (Im sure I've contributed more than one in the archives) but we as we all know by now arguing over these issues on the internet is wholly unproductive.
Drak - I understand your values and why you see the world the way you do, but socialism is bad its an open and shut case and you're wrong to favour single party. if you ever want to talk it out in another forum id be happy to provide the case.
