Trump doesn't seem to have any policies, he flip flops all the time. Stuff he said on the campaign trail can't be taken seriously, like the wall which isn't going to happen, like tearing up the Iran nuclear deal which he quietly endorsed, giving every American affordable healthcare for a lower price which is turning into a huge clusterfuck for the Repubs. It goes on and on. He did pull out of the TPP but there are no one to one trade deals which he said was better. He did pull out of the Paris agreement for no other reason than to make a political statement since it was nonbinding. He did do the travel ban from 7 countries, or tried to at least, for 90 days to figure stuff out, even though it has been longer than 90 days and crickets on what they figured out. It was just another political stunt. He said he was going to defeat ISIS in 30 days or whatever. Turns out he just gave authority to field commanders and left it to them. Which ain't all bad, but it wasn't what he said he would do. His choice of cabinet is nearly all people who want to dismantle and/or monetize their fiefdoms. His promise to drain the swamp seems to be groundless as he has more GoldmanSachs members in his admin than any previous President. He is simply out of his depth with no idea how to proceed. The Russian scandal is going to eat up all his time until he gets impeached. Congress is basically on their own, his leadership is missing. |
