currently have the AMD firePro m5950 GPU. It can run the UI in games like DOOM and Quake Champs at 60+ fps, but frame rate in game is 20 or less. With all the textures and fancy graphics these games have, i'm mostly convinced a new GPU should at least get me to 50 FPS continuous making them playable. I would probably put a nvidia 1060 in the box...
I'd much rather shell out $500 to play new games vs $1000
