So frustrating...as a conservative you can't support planned parenthood or any type of abortion because it doesn't float with your parties ideals. Doesn't matter if that's what you support - you can't have political allegiance and support anything the other side stands for. At all.
It's just strange how everything else in the modern world is advancing and evolving, but politics is still an archaic traditional shit show.
I think if politics progressed like, for instance, technology, we would be voting online somehow and we'd have multiple choices that aim for the middle of the political spectrum. We'd see parties that support some left and some right ideals that would best represent the country as a whole.
I also like the idea of a politician having to magically keep their promises. In fact, it doesn't have to be magical, it would only take a bit of paperwork. Why not introduce a law that says if you run for POTUS you must have running points, sign a contract and you would be bound to pushing for the policies that you signed up for in the first place. WTF is going on now? You can lie like a bastard for months about what you're going to do, then once you get into office you're not bound to any of it and are good for at least 4 years? ? ? FFS, you should be impeached if you run for POTUS saying you're going to do something and you do the fucking opposite. Of course it's not cut and dry like that, but at least something to hold them accountable. The only people that would be opposed to that are the few politicians that exist.
