Is that really a thing, Senators cannot be incidentally collected? Seems like he was going outside of his duties as a Senator and conducting foreign policy on his own. That is a big no-no, he is not part of the executive branch. Or was he authorized by the executive to have those discussions? Seems like it was leaked in order to embarrass him.
