I've been more regularly listening to podcasts since late 2016, and recently have heard lots of hosts pushing for listeners to share a podcast with friends this month.
If you haven't given it a try, I highly recommend the podcasting app that NPR has put out called NPR One. The experience is similar to just having a radio station turned on, as it will automatically play a variety of shows continuously. You can customize your experience by following certain podcast, and by marking an episode as interesting. I've been using it as my primary source of news for several months now.
As for a few podcasts I personally enjoy:
