That makes him no less honest because he finds humor in the ridiculous... take Trump for example, there's hours of comedy behind every sentence and every tweet he makes... the guy is president and he's attacking Arnie and SNL. They are layups, but I don't see any point of him being dishonest about anything. The comedy is just there.
As for his 'opponents' he has none. There is no corrupt politician he won't mock or scorn. Trump, Clinton etc. he's had bits on all of them and their corruption. It's just political humor and I can see how Trump supporters would think he's a liberal dishonest comedian, but put all the liberal DNC bashing into a few clips and I'm sure it would turn the other way.
