my favorite movie of his is 'A Bright Shining Lie' about the US involvement in the war in Vietnam.
It gets pretty personal at times, the movie, but the message is great and I feel like the personal stuff they tried to wrap into some sort of convoluted metaphor for the geopolitical relationship
