I priced a new game box with i5-7600, 16GB ram, GTX1060, Asus/asrock z/H270 game mobo, 256 GB m.2 NVMe, and a fan filled case for $900 USD a couple months ago.
Any ideas on how to get a rig very similar to this down to $500 USD without compromising too much performance? Any good times of year to buy parts like these?
I'd like to play the new doom game and possibly the new mass effect 4 thingie when it comes out.
