Could have been done so much more effectively. That's what bush jr excelled at. Instead of this circus, all he had to do was QUIETLY cut funding and personnel processing those requests. Move it to a separate entity, cut immigration officers to a handful for the entire nation, and instead of a ban you get 5-10+ yrs of processing time per application....and no savages would ever choose to go through such a lengthy process for a shot at uncle sam. Problem solved without all the public outcry and hostility backlash.
