I will always use the broadest definition for the word atheism, as there is no substitute. I am perfectly content omitting the word entirely, though, in order to be clear and concise in any given discussion. The word atheism does come with connotational baggage that is difficult to shake off, but I'd still prefer to push for the terms atheism and anti-theism being understood as separate and distinct.
