I think liberals are somewhat happy that Trump is acting semi-reasonable and backing off the crazy talk.
I think Trump voters are experiencing a bit of remorse for the same reason.
No one has any idea what is going to happen, Trump is just too unpredictable.
I still think Trump never expected to win and he had his big "Oh shit!" moment when he visited Obama in the White House. So the spectacle of the campaign is over, Crazy Donald is gone, sober and cautious Donald is who we will see from now on.
Of course, he might just surround himself with his handpicked team and let them decide what to do and just sign stuff when told. This seems likely to me.
