I think if an american show is on a Canadian network then it can be streamed through their website or app? If it's an American network show then why not try Kodi?
These days I don't really watch a lot of TV in the fiction catagory so I don't know if Kodi would feed your TV needs. Looks like all the talked about shows are listed though.
