Subject: | So I'm In Canada For The First Time | |
I have a lot of videos and pictures to post from the most epic trip I will probably take in my life. My GF and I backpacked through Southeast Asia, 5 countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, in that order. You can see our route here: http://i.imgur.com/MhPDwdP.jpg We spent June in San Francisco and July in San Diego, and now August is our Canada month. Unfortunately we will only be able to hit Toronto and Montreal (for one weekend) and I am forcing them to also drive through Quebec City to see the capital, against their wishes because they say it's boring. Actually don't have a place to stay in Montreal yet, so if anyone has any recommendations (or a house, lol) let me know. And what is the best poutine in Montreal? I need the most dirty, back-alley hole in the wall poutine ever with the squeakiest cheese. I've had the dish before but my Canadian GF rated it a 7.5 / 10 and I want higher than that. Staying in a nice part of Scarborough for the time being but last night we hit Yonge Street and I will be going to a couple Blue Jays games and some festivals like the craft beer festival in 2 weekends, and some electronic music festival on Toronto Islands this Monday holiday. Hope to potentially meet up with one or two of you. Let me know if you're in the area. So far, this country is great. Really clean, no pollution. Having fun. |
