You honestly think that a majority of voters in the UK or in North America are doing their homework before voting for a leader or referendum?
Just listen to the answers you get if you ask who or what they are voting for and why... How often are you getting a good in depth answer and how often do you hear: "he speaks his mind and I like that" or "dey took arr jerbs!" ??
Usually a vote comes from being immersed in a culture of left or right, black or white and nobody seems to dig into the real issues and the real changes that should be made. Not focusing on one minor thing that is good or bad. I would feel confident in saying that at least 60% of voters in civilized countries have no idea why they're voting a certain way, and most are voting based on Facebook memes that they think make sense.
