If you can find a dumb TV with a nice display, I would do that and just hook a computer up to it. That combo makes your TV not just smart but a genius TV.
I've got a Samsung Smart TV, thought it was great when I first got it, played around with all the apps for a while, but once I hooked my computer up to it I never used the Smart part again. Compared to a computer OS it is clunky and nearly useless.
