Fair enough. I personally don't think that it's THE answer to solve violent crime. It's obvious the country has massive underlying issues at the core. The U.K. Actually shows little to no difference. The most compelling evidence I have seen is the state by state data showing high gun deaths in states with no gun laws hardly at all.

I see no harm in just taking one year, implementing trial gun control laws in each state and see what happens. End the debate once and for all by actually doing something about it and if nothing changes then go back to the way it was. If for whatever reason it drastically reduces homicides, then stick with it. It's just too bad the US doesn't beta test laws that might prevent death.
