Hollow you contradict yourself. You say you are for stricter gun control, but you don't think the 2nd amendment should be adjusted. The whole argument from the right is that the 2nd amendment is good as it is and nothing needs to be changed.
Do you even realize why that document was written though?your country was built on it and the right to bear arms is fine when stipulations are put in place. New weapons, higher potential. Do you honestly think the founding fathers were so adamant on keeping the constitution untouched regardless of how much society changes and technology grows? What's the point of government today if you're going to hang on to old policies that aren't exactly relevant?
I get patriotism and nationalism. I do. A quick Google search will show you that some laws written 100 years ago are outdated and need to be modified for the good of the country.
