"It should be equal to or more difficult to buy and operate a car as it is a firearm. " MORE DIFFICULT! Jesus Christ. It's just sad to see that any comment related to gun reform at all gets blasted by the right no matter how much sense it makes. Cry 2nd amendment just because it's there and that's what somebody wrote on some paper a hundred years ago when the world was a different place. Right now, there are suspected terrorists that are on no fly lists, but the current laws state that they can go buy a gun no problem no questions asked. Donald Trump is adamant that the US already has "very strict gun control laws" and repeats it over and over. Fact is, it should not be that easy to get a gun. I don't care how much you think it doesn't matter, that the bad guys will find a way to kill anyways. Why make it any easier? Why wouldn't it make sense for the US to have gun control laws like we do in Canada where background checks are required, you have to take tests and go through a fairly rigorous process to get a firearm. Nobody is trying to take YOUR guns away, they just want to be sure that they are harder to get if you are a person with ill intent. |
