Not sure if anyone else here has heard about what's going on, I know Fresh is close enough to know.
Huge fire, the entire city was evacuated - I believe it's 80k people that had to leave and several communities burnt to the ground. Glad to see everyone in Canada pulling together to support these people. For those of you who don't know Fort McMurray it's basically the hub for rigs and rig workers in Alberta. Most of our oil patch jobs are based in and around the area - a ton of kids come from all over Canada to work there and make a shitload of money. They'll rebuild I'm sure, it's just a bit shocking to see what a fire can do to an entire city. People were literally driving through walls of fire to leave town.
