up until this weekend, the sheer number of players kept me from having to have any interactions with obvious hackers (TP or skill amounts off the charts) in an instance of the DZ.

Either I had really bad luck this weekend, or the attrition rate has finally taken its toll and the hackers that were making up anywhere from 3-10% of the PVP player base is now gobbling up 30-40% of the player population.

OR, the rampant cheating has led to even more rampant cheating.

I remember when Nintendo basically co-signed on cheating and monetized it with gameplay you could not pass legitimately. Whether it was Strategy Guides for Simon's Quest or Auto-Fire controllers. They taught me that if the information is out there and available, you are an idiot not to use it to pass the game. In fact, the game is likely not even passable without, at the very least, some word of mouth tips from someone that has read that Simon's Quest nintendo power or owns a rapid fire controller and could tell you first hand that trying to play w/o the rapid fire is stupid and pointless.
