thats a crazy wtf moment for sure
several years back i was in a deep sleep and at 2am in the morning my dad comes crashing in to my house, so i yell out "dad what the fuck are you doing", but that's not logical, why would my dad be stumbling in to my house at 2am when he lives on the other side of town. i quickly come to realize something is up, so i go towards my livingroom to find a "minority" drunkenly passed out on my couch, and try and tell him to leave. he doesnt seem to understand, so i realize maybe the best thing to do in this situation is to just get my gun ready and call the police. so i unlock my .270 and load up a magazine and call the police, they come and get him and all is good. i shoulda locked my door, but ive been pretty good about that since.
having a gun is great to have at the ready for these situations, but in your situation i think it woulda potentially made the situation worse
