Yeah, they were promising 1gbps, and the more I thought about it and the more they talked about how I'd have a modem hooked up to my copper wiring in my home I noped out. Last year I remember they tore up the park area (between sidewalk and street) in front of my house to put in wiring. I am now convinced that they put in ethernet cabling back to a nearby CO and weren't doing fiber runs up to the curb.
