If you believe in the American Process, we are innocent until PROVEN guilty. Even if we are guilty, the prosecution still has to prove it was you. If it cant be proven, then it could have been someone else.
Twelve people listen to both sides and then decide who did things. That's a rather large sample size to hear two sides of a single argument for weeks/months.
This is the best way we have found to circumvent false imprisonment.
