I've always been amazed at how over the top the amount of explosive power the ordinance had in WW1 compared to modern ordinance. that shit was just so incredibly OP it ain't even funny. They didn't fuck around with controlling the damage output of rounds... it was just balls out do as much damage as possible no matter the target.
