I got Lasik as a gift from my father after I got back from Afghanistan, so 13 years ago. He didn't want the Army doctors to butcher my eyes(lol) so he paid for me to go to Eye Center and have it done.
Before surgery I had 20/45 or some nonsense. After the surgery I had 20/15 vision. Over the years it has gotten slightly worse but it's still 20/20. It had a lifetime warranty if I went yearly to get checkups but I missed a few years due to life and lost it.
Even if I had paid for it it would have been completely worth it though.
