Haha the reason i thought you read it from somewhere is I know there's a comic book out there that has "more info" on ray. I don't know if its out yet or not, but I thought maybe it had leaked somewhere.
In the end it doesn't matter, we have to wait a few years before they bring Han back from the dead and make him the ruler of the Sith to end episode 2, and Kylo Ren betrays his father and turns out to be the good guy.
