It may see the earliest stars and galaxies in the universe, assuming the Big Bang theory is correct. It will be interesting to see if there are even more galaxies red shifted and farther away than we thought possible and what the cosmologists will say about that.
Still, it is quite a technical achievement. This is one of the aspects of the US I really like, how it continues this kind of scientific exploration.
