I feel the same way - except when it comes to a kid. There was a double murder not too far from where I grew up recently (Blanchette murder, Blairmore) where a guy killed a man in his home at night, then kidnapped his young daughter and ended up killing her. I cried after this happened because I have a young daughter and I couldn't fathom the whole thing.
Anyways, yeah I'm not so callous as to downplay what happened in France, I just think the world is so fucked up for holding some people so high and some so low.
