You can get the same results for less money going to Hobby King. But looking at FPVLR gives you an idea of the direction you might want to head if you are curious about extending the control and video range.
Some people use amplifiers and extenders mounted to a tripod. Some use amps and extenders mounted to the Tx and the bird itself.
